At Booth 15 we are excited to presents works of two Finnish painters: Elina Merenmies and Joel Slotte.

The two artists of different generations are both known for their strong, distinctive styles that offer glimpses into worlds where personal stories, mystical visions, and complex characters meet. Drawing on historical accounts, literature and religious texts, Merenmies’s works form a deep, timeless, internal and unique world of their own, whereas Slotte gives his portraits a thrilling spin with symbols from art history, folklore, subculture aesthetics and everyday incidents.
