Jani Ruscica’s new project Fold in and Fall Flat is on view at UConn Contemporary Art Galleries from 2 April to 4 May 2018. The work brings together sculpture, puppetry, performance art, butcher block carved woodcut prints and a 3D CGI animation showing upon an oversized flat screen.
Ruscica is UConn’s 2017–2018 Raymond and Beverly Sqackler Artist-in-Residence, and the project is produced as part of the residency. The Raymond and Beverly Sackler Residency is awarded every five years to an internationally renowned artist, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary practice.
