Kari Caven’s exhibition Minä missä milloin (Me Wherever) is on view at Kunsthalle Meilahti, in Helsinki, as part of Ilo ja Epäsymmetria (Joy and Asymmetry) group show. The playful and plentiful exhibition features Cavén’s works all the way from 1988 until 2026.
In Kari Cavén’s hands the abandoned and rejected object is given a new life through the realization of the possibilities of its form. His playful and inventive attitude invites us to experience a world that is not rigidly fixed in place, but rather, like a kaleidoscope, always offers new perspectives for objects and words. Things can be viewed without set meanings and values.
The Joy and Asemmetry group show is curated by Nanna Susi, and it runs until 30 August 2026.
